Our journey begins at our sister restaurant
The Adamson. It is named after Dr John
Adamson, a renowned physician and
photographic pioneer. The blue plaque at the
front of the building bears his name.

Just off South Street in Logies Lane you’ll find a statue of a ginger cat, Hamish McHamish.

The Haunted Lady

At the historic cathedral, you may encounter
St Andrews’ most famous ghost. A spectral
figure dressed in white, she is said to haunt the parapets and graveyard of the cathedral, before disappearing into the Haunted Tower.

For those wanting a different kind of St Andrews experience, visit Castle Sands tidal pool, which sits between the famous West Sands and East
Sands beaches. Surrounded by rocky formations, it offers a uniquely atmospheric swim.

Next we head to St Andrews Castle, where
gunpowder played a pivotal role – featuring
prominently in its defences, a bloody siege,
and a famous underground battle.

met while living at St Salvator’s Hall. Like them, undergraduates at the University famously wear red gowns for formal events.

St Andrews is famously tied to the 1981
Oscar-winning film Chariots of Fire. Its
iconic opening scene—where Olympic
